WEBJun 17, 2019 · Sharpening end mills by grinding off the bottom never made sense to me, rarely are we plunging, most cutting is with the side. Of course the idea with bottom sharpening is remove enough off the bottom to get to a 'fresh' bit of side, but lobbing off 1/2" with a zip cutter then tuning up the end seemed wasteful.

These machines feature useful attachments to do tooling and lathe bits, all with sliding ways, again, similar to the Deckel. I would buy one of these machines however I recently came into a Deckel S0 at a very good price.

The rear bearing with shaft pressed through, and the rear dust shield ready to go on. This spins with shaft, and the washers and nuts lock it all together.
