WEBAug 11, 2009 · I have a Rusnok model 70 head with five U collets for sale for 300 plus shipping. It will fit a 2" overarm, and I thought about using it on my Hardinge TM horizontal mill, but never did. There is also a " adapter with it. The 1/4 HP motor is 115 V. The spindle speeds are 380, 700, 1200, 2500 and 5200. The quill feed is inches. Larry

WEBMay 21, 2006 · The Rusnok Model 70 vertical head that came on it also has it's own 1 3/4" overarm. This seems to be original and is smaller than most of the Model 70 mounts, from what I have found. Quite honestly, the head is a little large for the fairly light construction of the bearing caps/overarm mounts.

I see evidence of two separate conversions, the first from lineshaft to a motor mounted on the side, the second to a motor mounted on the back of the mill. WEBNov 10, 2007 · The mill The head,maybe all because of condition,rust,etc. my first "real" mill was a Burke #4. It is now in the shop of a friend,and that's about all they can get for it. the Rusnok head could be more valuable if in better started out on an expensive little mill.

WEBAug 14, 2023 · Apparently the DIY nut is unbalanced, the question is how much. Every rotating part has some unbalance. This nut would probably run OK on a Bridgeport size mill at its top speed, but a tiny Rusnok mill may be much more sensitive to unbalance. I would measure the runout on all outside surfaces including flats.

WEBJun 27, 2016 · It must have been the large Rusnok which is the ST not the little one (model 70) from the bench mill. The larger ones were BS9 which can be rebored to R8 but without the antirotation pin which you don't really need. The larger heads were sold as addon vertical heads for horizontal mills with a variety of mounting adapters.

I prefer a tool with only two indexes/cutters. I will use this combination for only light surface work on 303 stainless.

WEBMay 22, 2018 · That is a Rusnok 70 Milling Head, takes "Y" collets. The Rusnok is mounted on the 2 inch horizontal overarm. There is a Rusnok Mill yahoo group with lots of documentation. It is mounted on a Sheldon 0 Mill. The handle on the left is for a Reeves drive for the spindle. The spindle taper is BS #9. Bernie
